Lobby Access Update

Due to an increased number of COVID-19 cases in Winnebago and Stephenson County, for your safety and the safety of our employees we will be closing our branch lobbies to customer traffic beginning October 20, 2020. If you need to access your safe deposit box or to meet with a personal banker or loan officer, you must make an appointment. We will allow one customer into our lobby at a time.

Our drive-up windows will remain open for normal banking transactions at our German Valley, Pecatonica, Seward and Winnebago branches. Our bankers will also continue to be available to provide financial advice over the phone.

  • Avoid contact with those who are sick and practice social distance.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Cover your cough with your elbow and sneeze within a tissue.

Additionally, remember, fraudsters always pick the worst time to strike. They will take advantage of your concern over the COVID-19 virus and will advertise fake products or services in an attempt to lure you to their website or open a fake email. German American State Bank will never call you asking for your card number, personal PIN or account number(s). Please contact the bank at 815.362.2310 immediately if you receive such a call requesting this information.
