2020 Trips 

March 26th (Thursday) – The Drake Hotel & Eataly Marketplace
Chicago, IL - $113 /Per Person
Our day begins with a visit to “Eataly”.  It all began in 2002 when Oscar Farinetti designed the first multi-functional marketplace dedicated to Italian excellence.  This vibrant Italian marketplace will immerse you in all that is Italian! From meats & cheeses to wines, freshly baked breads & produce that you can purchase, to bring Italy into your own home!  Lunch is on your own, but eat light, because The Drake Hotel is holding your spot for the 1:00 pm Tea.  You will be delighted with the assortment of Finger Sandwiches, French Pastries, Scones, Tea Cakes and flavored Macaroons! An experience you won’t soon forget! Cost includes transportation, gratuities & the Traditional Drake Tea.

May 6th (Wednesday) – “A MIGHTY FORTRESS” – The Fireside Theatre
Fort Atkinson, WI - $105/Per Person
In this sequel of The Church Basement Ladies series, the year is 1960 and a reformation is underway.  Beverly gets her first pair of heels for confirmation.  Mrs. Snustad wins top honors at the County Fair for her Grand Champion pickles. Mavis must find a way to deal with the new Super Highway that cuts thru her farm, and Pastor has found new love and announces his impending nuptials.  We’ll follow their crazy antics, with more great songs and more lessons learned! June 10th (Wednesday) – “WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS”- The Fireside Theatre

What happens in Vegas won’t stay in Vegas…and it will be here for all to see on stage at The Fireside Theatre!  For over 70 years, every great entertainer has appeared in Las Vegas.  The world’s best singers, dancers, musicians and comedians have flocked to this city where dreams become reality!  This all-new LIVE BAND show, featuring STEVE WATTS, and the celebrated FIRESIDE BAND, will pay tribute to the best of the best!  Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Elvis Presley, and so many more! Madison, WI - $100/Per Person

August 18th (Tuesday) – “BRANSON LEGENDS & TROLLEY TOUR” – Starved Rock Lodge

Gordy & Debbie will take you on a musical journey with some of your favorite songs from the past and present, enhanced by a “state of the art” visual experience that you won’t forget!  You’ll enjoy the comedy and humor of Branson’s husband and wife duo that will have everybody laughing.  We are adding more fun to your day by taking a historic tour of the Starved Rock area.  Ride in comfort and learn about the rich history of Starved Rock State Park.  Explore the park’s Visitor Center and the Illinois Waterway Lock & Dam and its Visitor Center.   Cost includes transportation, show, a delicious buffet meal, trolley tour and gratuities.

October 1st (Thursday) – “CASTLE’S, PUB’S & RAIL’S TOUR”
Barrington, IL - $110 /Per Person
Bettendorf Castle is complete with towers, turrets and a moat, and took 36 years to build!  We will tour the grounds of this private residence as a docent shares its inspiration and history. Our visit to the Harvey Silets Memorial Chicago Model Railroad Museum, established by Elaine Silets, is a labor of love. Known as the “Train Lady”, Elaine’s home, The Wandering Tree Estate, has two elaborate model railroad layouts to view on our tour of the grounds. There will be time to shop at the Ice House Mall and enjoy a delicious lunch at the Onion Pub & Brewery.  Designed just for you, this is a “one-of-a-kind” day trip! November 11th (Wednesday) – “Holiday Inn” – The Fireside Theater

Irving Berlin’s HOLIDAY INN tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business behind, to settle down on his farmhouse in Connecticut. Life takes a turn when Jim meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare.  Together, they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous Inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday.  Based on the classic film, this joyous musical features thrilling dance numbers, comedy, and a parade of Irving Berlin songs, including “Cheek to Cheek”, “White Christmas”, and many more!  Cost includes transportation, gratuities and lunch.

December 10th (Thursday) – “CHRISTMAS CRAFTING & OLD WORLD MARKET”
Milwaukee, WI - $120 /Per Person
Reminiscent of the centuries-old Christkindlemarkt of Germany, this 23rd Annual Old World Christmas Market at the Osthoff Resort offers the warmth and merriment of this Old World tradition. Stroll the aisles of a grand heated tent, decked with fragrant boughs of fresh evergreens and scents of roasted almonds and Nuremberg bratwurst, all while browsing for unique and specialty items among international and regional artisans. Participate in a wreath demonstration, shopping at a cheese factory, and a Christmas ornament project at the Wiscon Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts.   Lunch will be on your own at the Old World Food Court and our evening meal will be at Milwaukee’s famous Mader’s German Restaurant.  Cost includes transportation, step-on guide, wreath- making demonstration, admission into market, fiber art Christmas ornament, evening meal & gratuities.
